My interest in Reiki and Massage Therapy began in the 1990s with the study and practice of Qigong—a Chinese system of movement, massage, meditation, and breathing for improved wellbeing. In my teens, a counselor gave me a video on Chakra meditation, which ignited my desire to learn to meditate and brought to light my need to heal on a spiritual level. A meditation experience on the beach in Oregon guided me to move to Arizona to find a teacher. There I attended Prescott College, taking classes in Visual Arts and Holistic Health. An opportunity arose, and I took a break from my studies to complete a traditional three-year retreat in the Drikung Kagyü Lineage of Tibetan Buddhism at the Garchen Institute, where I lived and worked from 2003 to 2008.
Shortly after retreat, I finished my bachelor’s in Humanities with an emphasis in Tibetan Buddhist Studies from Prescott College in 2009, with minors in Visual Arts and Liberal Arts. Following a dream, I went on to graduate with a master’s in Art Education from Indiana University in 2016. When I realized classroom teaching wasn’t a match for me, another counselor gave me permission to pursue my passion for holistic health and wellness, and I enrolled in Indiana Therapeutic Massage School in 2016. I earned my Reiki Master/Teacher Certification from Christine Eartheart that year and began practicing as a Licensed Massage Therapist in 2017.

In addition to being an artist, mother, and spiritual practitioner, I am also a lifelong learner committed to personal growth and teaching others along the way. Walking away from my K-12 teaching job was a Soul realignment that led me back to the path my Soul had planned for me. Not long after, I began taking weekly classes with KatyeAnna, Teacher of Soul, a mentor I met through friends at a holistic expo in my hometown in the 1990s. I continue to meet with Katye and a cohort of students on a weekly basis. One of these classes was the Birthing Into Spirit Program, and I am now qualified to support you and your loved ones through all phases of the end of life journey. Another class was “The Michael Teachings, a Channeled System for Self-Understanding.” I will soon be teaching this course online and locally in a small, intimate group setting.
Just recently, I connected with another mentor I was introduced to around the year 2000, in a Prescott College class called “Painting from the Source.” Her name is Deborah Koff-Chapin, and she is an Artist and the founder of the Center for Touch Drawing. Touch Drawing makes intuitive art accessible to everyone and helps you open up and access a direct channel of expression, even those of you who are not comfortable with art. I am currently in the process of reawakening my own inner Artist and connecting even more deeply to my Soul’s path, by becoming a Touch Drawing Facilitator. I am putting together a “Touch Drawing for Creative Awakening Workshop” that I will facilitate both online and in person at Anita’s Boutique in Peru, Indiana. Follow me on Facebook and Instagram for updates and how to register for these upcoming classes!

As a Reiki Therapist, I call on the universal energy, angels and guides, and the light of your soul. I focus my intention on your healing, your highest good, and the greater good of all beings. I meditate on universal energy, which then flows to wherever your physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual bodies need it most. Reiki goes where it is needed; all you have to do is be open to receive it. Reiki activates your relaxation response, so you can relax, let go, and effortlessly enter the world of spirit. It is there you will find the rest, renewal, and healing that you seek.
As a Massage Therapist, I offer a truly unique and individualized massage, based on the practice of mindful awareness, compassionate listening, and "seeing" through my hands. Clients consistently comment that my pressure is perfect, that they feel healed and not sore after a session, and that the benefits and pain relief last for weeks or more. This is all thanks to skilled palpation, an acute understanding of anatomy, meditative concentration, and a well-refined quality of touch. Clients can feel the difference in my hands, and the results speak for themselves. It’s more than a massage. It’s a total healing experience.
